| Metal Fabrication Design Engineer |
| First shift opening for metal fabrication Mechanical Design Engineer/Estimator for our Engineering Department who will be responsible for drawing design, layouts, cost estimating and quoting customer price costs form customer submitted blueprints to be made to specification.
Candidate will also be responsible for vendor and internal usage for parts drawings utilizing Auto Cad system format.
Our company does a wide variety of metal working, including CNC Machining, Stamping, Hyroforming, Welding, and manual machine shop work. Candidate must have extensive CAD-CAM experience, as well as complete understanding and knowledge of blueprint reading. Requirements also include a minimum of 3 to 5 years in this field, with emphasis on the metal fabrication industry. Strong background in shop math. A minimum of a High School education with emphasis on Drafting/Autocad and math-related courses. Prefer 2 years of completed college in above field. Basic knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, gages, and hand tools, plus metal fabrication machines. Aerospace industry experience a plus. Must have organizational skills. This position works from 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. |
| Estimator/Quoter |
First Shift Position for Estimator/Quoter. Must have thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and engineering requirements for sheet metal fabricated products and assemblies. Candidates must have proficiency in Epicor VISTA, as well as some scheduling capabilities. Ideal candidate would be familiar with government and MIL Spec and other quality requirements. Job Requirements: Prefer 5 years experience in the metal fabrication industry. Proficiency in the following is required: Blueprint reading; Job cost estimating; Epicor VISTA; Complete understanding of the metal-working industry and shop math; Aerospace and Military industry experience a plus. Must have strong organizational skills, with ability to get quotes in on time and accurately. Education Requirements: College degree preferred, but will consider someone with verifiable solid experience in all the job requirements listed above. This position works from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. |
